Bel Air Council 4714 Knights of Columbus – Part of an International Fraternal Benefit Society
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men’s fraternal benefit society that was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.

The Knights in Our Community
The Bel Air Council was founded on December 16, 1958 and works closely with the parishes of Saint Mark in Fallston MD, and Saint Margaret in Bel Air MD. Its members are active participants in their parishes.

Fulfilling Our Mission
The Bel Air Council funds or sponsors various projects and programs in six major areas, Church, Community, Council, Family, Youth, and Pro-Life. An example in the Youth area, Council 4714 sponsors both Boy Scout Troop 999 and Cub Scout Pack 999. In community service, the Council raises funds for Anna’s House to support abused women delivers Thanksgiving meals to the needy and raises money for the ARC of Harford County. The Council augments its special projects by conducting a weekly bingo event each Friday at 7:00 at the Council facility in Forest Hill, MD.
